Workers’ Compensation and the Water

Attorney Cara Biddings will be joined by Attorney Dov Sacks in a presentation entitled “Workers’ Compensation and the Water” focusing on the interplay between the Maine Workers’ Compensation Act, the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and the Jones Act.

The state of Maine has nearly 3,500 miles of coastline and a substantial number of employees working at the edge of the water and beyond. This presentation will help attorneys and insurers better understand the analysis that must be undertaken when an employee is injured on or near the water.
